My Mission & About Me

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmail

James June 2014Hi! My name is James and I have been playing games my whole life. From my earliest memories I have been exposed to board games, puzzles, video games, card games, and in more recent times computer games as well.

As a child I always appreciated all the fun we had with the games and now as an adult I also realize how it goes much further then just fun. Playing games with your family helps in bonding as well as teaching valuable skills for later in life.

I am in my late 30’s and have been with my wife, Sherri, since we were in High School. We have 3 children, Daniel age 18, Ashley age 10, and Alex age 7. We live in south central Pennsylvania where we were born and raised.

I have worked for many years in the wireless phone industry and more recently the personal insurance industry. All throughout my life I had always wanted to have a career that could take my passion for games and allow me to support my family with it. While that option has not yet manifested, this site does provide a good outlet for it.

As I look back over my life I have come to the realization that there has always been at least one game prominent in my life at any given moment. Sometimes my attentions get split over multiple games as well.

Sharing my gaming passion with my family has helped create bonds that go beyond treasured. Gaming is currently helping me keep in touch with my oldest son as that now he is an adult, I don’t get to see him that much. Also, for my younger kids, it really helps me make sure that I get in the valuable shared time that they need.

While I may not have all of the answers, I am pretty good at figuring things out. Even if I only help one person or family, everything that I have put into this site will have been worth it. If you ever need anything or have questions that I can help with please let me know!

Site Mission

The reason I created this site is to help share not only my passion for gaming, but to also share a valuable way for a family to bond and grow together. I will be sharing personal experiences as well as working with your input as well! I do ask that you communicate with me so that we can bring all of our experiences to light so that others may share in our knowledge.

I will be starting off with basic knowledge about gaming and some of the simple benefits of it.  As the site grows I plan on doing specific game reviews and to make it a community of like minded individuals.

I ask that you please ask questions when needed & share your knowledge and ideas as you can.  Together we can pool our shared knowledge and create a valuable community to to help others discover a passion in games.

Special Thanks

I would also like to include a special thanks to those over at Wealthy Affiliates.  Without their training and the support of the community there, this website would not exist.  If you want to find out more about them click on the banner!

Thank you so much for visiting my site and I hope I am able to help you!

Sincerely,

James

  1. James,
Another great website,I am so happy that I joined WA’s.
I never had the opportunity to play many games at home as a child as I grew up alone with my grandmother so never got into that habit neither did develop the inclination.
I look on with a little bit of envy when i visit friends and family and see them enjoying a good board game.
I am now in my fifties with 2 grown daughters.I am happy that they had the priviledge of each others company to play.I will make sure my grandchildren (if I ever get any) are able to experience the joys of a family playing together so they can acquire some of those valuable lessons you have mentioned.
Keep on growing from strength to strength.
    Marcia
